Kicking Off Our Articles Section!

Hey everyone! Thanks for checking us out, we're super glad you're here. If you haven't already done so, get to know us a bit better by reading our About Us page when you have a minute.

Purpose and Audience

The purpose of this post is to provide you with a quick introduction to our Articles section. We like to think of ourselves as unique on the internet being that our goal is not only to provide you with helpful reviews of some of the top catcher's gear out there, but also to provide you with articles covering a range of relevant, useful and educational topics for catchers. Our intended audience of these articles is catchers of all ages (whether playing Baseball or Fastpitch Softball), parents of catchers, and generally anyone interested in the position.

A Quick Note for Our International Audience

We also wanted to point out that while the authors of this site live in the US, we want CatchersHome.com in general, and our articles in particular, to be useful to audiences from all nations. After all, Baseball and Softball are popular not only in the US, but in such places as Canada, Japan, South Korea, Cuba, Venezuela, the Dominican Republic, the Netherlands, Italy, Australia... I could go on, but you get the point. All are welcome to this site!

Topics to Cover

In the coming weeks and months, we'll be writing articles about topics in some of the following areas:

  • Legends Behind the Plate - an up close look at some notable catchers from the past. Some you've heard of. Some you may not have heard of.
  • Catcher's Gear and Sizing - what size is right for me and how the heck do I size myself when ordering online?
  • Conditioning for Catchers - how to stay in shape and strive to get through a long season injury-free.
  • Rehabilitation for Catchers - how to recover if injured so you can quickly get back on the field.
  • Specific Reviews - investigating specific pieces of equipment and new technologies.
  • Answering Common Questions - addressing all types of miscellaneous questions about catchers, and about catching gear.

These are just a few of the areas that we'll be discussing. We're really excited to start writing more in this section, so be on the lookout for new posts. In the meantime, if you have any comments or messages you'd like to leave us, please do so by heading over to our Contact Us page.
